My passion for science was nurtured by a handful of important instructors that inspired, challenged, and mentored me as a student. As an instructor, I aim to serve as an inspiration and mentor to train the next generation of students as they embark on paths towards a future of making exciting discoveries, developing new technologies, and solving complex problems. Using a student-centered approach, I strive to create an equitable and safe classroom environment that facilitates learning by diverse students, build honest connections with students centered on fairness and mutual respect, and remain adaptive and flexible in my role as an instructor. Like those that inspired me during my education, I try to use my platform to share my passion for science and help students develop analytical, communicative, and interpersonal skills that will benefit them regardless of their future career.
